They've settled nicely into their life as a married couple -- married! That's something she never expected she would be, after the age of twelve when she'd finally given up on the dream of having the family she wanted. But here she is, with a one-year-old son and a husband. A husband who's a huge dork, but he's her huge dork, and she wouldn't have it any other way.

It's gotten easier for her to leave Henry with someone else for awhile (though she'll always worry), and she and Neal have planned a date night. A date night with no specific plans other than dinner. Which they've just come from, and are now strolling hand-in-hand through Rockefeller Plaza. Lights are twinkling, vendors are selling hot chocolate, and just the whole feeling of the place is rather romantic. Or maybe that's just because she was able to take a night off of working on her GED and find the time to come out with Neal.

"So what do you want to do now?"

"Being sad takes too much energy." He grinned down at her as he spoke.

That wasn't the whole reason but he had been fighting for his happiness and that wasn't about to stop now. Emma and Henry was his happiness now and he'd do everything he could to keep them safe.

Even if that meant running into his father again.

"Oh is that why." She wouldn't say the opposite is being sad, really, but realistic, maybe. It's been her experience that things don't turn out that way, even with having Neal and Henry around now.

"I think you'll just have to do it for both of us."

His arm tightened protectively around her as he leaned down and whispered in her ear. "I will."

With a cocky smile he lead her towards their home. They were close and another block they were carefully pushing open the door, trying to be quiet in the process.

"Good." Neal's a better person than she is, she knows it. They have a good relationship with their neighbors because of him. She'd keep to herself if she were on her own.

Once they're inside, she sneaks into Henry's room to peek at him while he's sleeping, leaving Neal to pay the babysitter.

Neal took care of the babysitter, mumbling a soft thank you to the young woman who was looking after Henry for the night. She was a college student and while Neal couldn't pay her a lot, she adored Henry and was happy to watch him.

He followed behind Emma and wrapped his arms around her waist, placing his chin on her shoulder.

"We shouldn't wake up." He whispers in the shell of her ear.

"Then we should go in our room," she whispers back as she takes his hand and spins away from him. She tugs him behind her into their room. "Better?"

Neal followed behind, his steps slightly brushing across the floor as they made their way to the safety of their bed room. His arms wrapped around Emma's waist and he pulled her flush against him.

"Better." He murmured in a low voice before capturing her lips in a hard eager kiss.

"Mmm," she murmurs into the kiss. Her arms wrap around his waist in return. "I guess the date's not over." She nips at his lower lip with her teeth before returning the kiss.

"Oh?" Neal's smile widened as he pulled Emma towards the bed, meeting her light little kisses and nips with his own. "I didn't have anything planned. I thought I was the pervert?"

He totally was but he was never going to not tease Emma about how they met.

"You are." She pushes him onto the bed and climbs on after him, straddling his waist. "Why do you think I married you?"

Neal fell back, an eager smile pulling across his mouth as Emma straddled him. His arms looped around her pretty waist and he kissed her. His tongue dragged against hers before he was falling back onto the bed.

"For my charming good looks." He teased.

"That was why I had a drink with you." She reaches down to tug his shirt over his head. "I married you for the other reason."

Neal lifted his arms over his head, his hands returning ot Emma the moment that his shirt was out of the way. His fingers dipped below her blouse and ran over her bare sides before he followed her lead and removed her shirt.

"I'm glad you did." He whispered as he pulled her into a passionate kiss.

"So am I." They have Henry, but that's only part of it. This is the first time in her whole life that she's felt like she had a home, and that's major.

While still straddling him, she slips her hand under the waistband of his pants and underwear and grasps him between his legs.

A low husky groan rumbled through his chest as her fingers skillfully wrapped around his erection. He wasn't fully hard yet but Emma was well on her way of coaxing more out of him.

"Fuck." He groaned. "You do that too well."

She leans down to kiss him. "I do my best." She just wants him to know how she feels, and she likes showing him this way. "Only the best for you."

"You're the best." He murmurs, pulling her down into an eager kiss.

"Only because you are." She can't imagine feeling this way about anyone but him, so he must have something to do with it.

She reaches down to unfasten his pants and tug them down.

Neal wanted to be romantic and sweet but Emma was distracting. His pants tugged over his hips and down his thighs and he groaned as his cock nearly sprang free of its confines. He was so ridiculously aroused by her and not just how sexy she was but everything about her.

She was the perfect woman for him and when they were together, it was easy to forget the world, his past; she and Henry were the only thing that mattered.

Neal's palm ran down her sides and grabbed her hips. "I want you but we should grab a condom." He'd been a lot more careful since Henry was born. He could afford another child.

It's not that she doesn't want the romance. It's just that there are some things they can do in front of Henry, like romance, and some things they can't do in front of Henry, like this. And she wants this when she can get it.

"There's some in the drawer," she says as she points to the nightstand next to the bed. This is not the time for another kid.

Neal reached back but he was too far away from the draw. One arm wrapped around Emma, be pulled them both onto the bed so that he could dip his hand into the drawer and pull out a condom. "Got it."

Emma looked so good when she was straddling him, Neal didn't want her to roll off.

She grins at him. "Better." Now they can keep going. Which she does, by leaning down to kiss him again. "I'm not saying I'm okay with moving, but I want to live wherever you are."

Neal smiled against her mouth, her dark eyes glittering with warmth as he kissed her over and over again. "Good because I love you." He rolled the condom on as he littered her jaw and neck with kisses.

He lost himself in the sweetness of her skin and pulled her down while pushing his hips up to greet her. A tight heat surrounded him and he bit back a moan as his fingers slipped through her hair. They'd have to talk about moving but for right now he just wanted to lose himself in her.
