Her days have started to look mostly the same. She's still on the morning shift at the diner (which is fine, she likes being home with Neal in the evening), but she doesn't even really need to set an alarm anymore. It never fails, 6am rolls around and she's running for the bathroom. It doesn't matter what she ate the night before; every morning, like clockwork, she's making friends with the toilet.

She's so tired all the time too, and she can't even have coffee to wake up. Her one consolation right now is that she can eat whatever she wants.

The first thing she does when she gets home after work is go to take a shower. There are so many food smells clinging to her clothes, and to her skin, and she needs to be rid of them. She puts on something more comfortable – stretchy pants and one of Neal's t-shirts – and plops on the couch to wait for him to get home. Her belly is starting to grow larger and she's going to need to go shopping for some maternity clothes soon. How are they going to afford that?

She closes her eyes while waiting for him to get home. She's not even halfway through yet. It's going to be a long six more months.

"I like that one." Her fingers trace lazy circles on his scalp as she starts to relax. "So does he, I think. He's calmed down now."

"You should be sleeping." He whispered before kissing her on the forehead. He never wanted to stop kissing her.

"I can sing it again."

"Sing it again and maybe I'll sleep." Or maybe she'll stay up and listen to him sing some more.

Neal smiled and began to the song again. His voice was deep and soft and his tempo slowed in order to lull his love into a deep slumber. She’d be thankful in the morning and he knew that she needed her sleep.

By the time he finishes the song, she has closed her eyes and started to doze off. "See you in the morning," she murmurs sleepily at him.

"See you in the morning." He replied softly, giving her one last kiss on the forehead before he too closed his eyes and fell asleep.

She's awake before him in the morning, so when he gets up and comes into the kitchen, he'll find her sitting at the table eating scrambled eggs. They're about the only thing she has learned how to cook so far.

"Morning."

Neal had no idea how she got up without waking him. It was one of many talents that Emma had that he both loved and hated. His arms stretched overhead and he greeted her with a smile.

“Morning. Do you work today?”

He walked over to the frig, pulling open the door to peer inside. He was looking for orange juice like he did most mornings.

"Nope. I have the day off." And she plans to spend it sitting around the apartment doing nothing.

Neal nodded his head before glancing at the clock. "I have to go in this morning." He then pulled his attention back to the refrigerator, finding the orange juice and pouring some into a large glass.

"Okay. I'll just sit around the apartment naked by myself then." And maybe have a surprise or two for him when he gets home. "Have fun at work."

Neal looked at her over his orange juice. "That's just mean. I won't be able to focus on work at all." He walked over to her and lightly kissed her forehead.

"It's a short day. I'll be home at lunch." His job let him move around his hours and work weekends and considering he told his employer that Emma was pregnant he got a little leeway when he wanted.

"I know. That's why I said it." She grins up at him. She likes knowing he's thinking about her.

"Don't forget your eggs."

"Mm? I thought they were all for you." He smiled, teasing only lightly as he grabbed a plate and quickly began to eat. "Just be ready when I get home." Because he was going to think about her naked all day long.

He leaned forward and pressed his lips against her forehead before placing his dishes in the sink and running towards the door. He wanted to get to work quickly and have the day be over already.

"Let me know if you want me to bring you home lunch."

"Bring me some lunch!" she calls as he's on his way out the door. She already knows that she's not going to be able to make any for herself.

Neal felt himself smile as he slipped out the door. Work went painfully slow and his thoughts kept drifting back to Emma. Lunch couldn't have come any sooner. He grabbed them both a London Broil sandwich before heading back to the apartment. He hoped that Emma was in the mood for beef, if not he'd go out and grab something else.

"Emma?" He pushed open the door with his foot before dropping the keys on the table next to the door. "I'm home."

"I'm in here," she says from the living room. She's not in fact actually sitting around naked. She is wearing just a bathrobe though, since she never got dressed after her shower earlier. "Did you bring me lunch?"

"I did." He smiled at her, happy to see that she's relaxed and having a good time. "I hope you're in the mood for a sandwich." He stepped to the kitchen and put them both on plates before walking out towards where Emma was sitting.

He handed her a plate and then paused. "Want something to drink?" yeah, he'd forgotten about that.

"I'm in the mood for just about anything." As long as it's not fish. She can't handle that right now. "Yeah, some milk would be good."

Neal nodded his head and the left to fetch milk. He got himself a glass of water before settling in next to her with his sandwich. Her meal and drink had been placed on the end table, for whenever she was hungry enough to eat.

"What are you watching?"

"Something stupid and actually kind of boring." She picks up the remote and clicks off the TV. She leans her head on his shoulder. "Now you're here. You can entertain me."

Neal laughed softly. "And how am I going to do that?"

"I don't know. I'm sure you can come up with something." She has faith in him.

Neal laughed. "Eat first. Entertainment after. Tell me about your morning."

"I took a shower, I didn't feel like getting dressed, I waited for you to get home." Not much to tell, really. She does start eating her lunch though.
